Oppo intends to add satellite calling feature in its phones

Oppo announced that its upcoming phone series, OPPO Find 

However, the company did not provide further details about how this technology works, and whether it will support phone calls alongside text messages.

Oppo is distinguished by launching some of its phone series in global markets, while some of them remain limited to Chinese markets, as happened with the OPPO Find X6 Pro phones. Therefore, it is not clearly known whether the Find X7 series will be available globally or not.

This innovative feature is supposed to rely on the BeiDou satellite messaging service, the same service used in the new Huawei Mate 60 phones. Therefore, this feature may be limited to China, even if Oppo launches the Find X7 series in global markets.

The OPPO Find

Apple is the first company to integrate the satellite communication feature into its phones, starting with the iPhone 14 model, but the use of this feature is limited to some countries. 

Reports indicate that Samsung is planning to add a similar feature to the Galaxy S24 series of phones scheduled to be launched at the beginning of next year.
