Among the famous companies that have been subjected to this great piracy process, we find the company specialized in security software Malwarebytes, which in turn announced that it was a victim of this process, to be added to this by famous companies such as Microsoft, for example, although Malwarebytes indicated that it does not use SolarWinds, unlike The rest of the victims of the piracy operation, and that Russian hackers invaded its privacy through Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms


And Microsoft had revealed some developments in this regard, against the background of its exposure, along with other parties, to the process of piracy through the tool SolarWinds, and Microsoft said in a statement: "We discovered unusual activity with a small number of internal accounts, upon examination we discovered An account was used to view the source code in a number of source code repositories, and the hackers were able to view the source code, but were unable to modify it, and there is no evidence of accessing online services or customer data, in addition to that, There is no indication that our systems have been used to attack other people "   


And a report by the American Washington Post had said that there was a large electronic campaign that was implemented by a group of Russian hackers under the name "APT29" and it is supported by the Russian foreign intelligence, according to the report, and this campaign targeted many American institutions, headed by the Ministry American commerce, as well as a number of famous companies, including the information security company FireEye, which revealed earlier last week that it was vulnerable to piracy      


And Washington Post press sources say that Russian hackers used SolarWinds, which is a publisher of computer infrastructure management programs, as they were able to penetrate its servers and distribute infected updates to the targeted users, noting that the company has more than 300,000 customers around the world, including balanced institutions such as a ministry The US Defense Pentagon, the US Army, the US Space Agency, NASA, and others
