Now you can activate the encryption feature in the Google Messages app!

Google is seeking through the Google Messages application that it developed to provide a convincing alternative to the popular chatting application WhatsApp, which means that the application is no longer satisfied with just sending the SMS text message as it was in the past, as it includes all the basic elements available in various chat applications such as WhatsApp and others, And through it, pictures and videos can be shared and sent in addition to various files, and according to the latest news, Google Messages, which is the default text messaging application on most phones, especially the pixel category, contains a new security feature that can be compared to that in the iMessage service for iPhones, which is a feature End-to-end encryption Which is known as Chat features, and Google announced that the feature will be available to everyone around the world, and for clarification, using the feature first requires setting the Google Message application as the default application on the phone, not the text messaging application owned by the trademark of your phone, and if your phone belongs to Samsung, The company previously confirmed its intention to enter this field and recently announced that its messaging application will soon start using RCS technology available in the Google Messages application, and therefore if you own a Samsung phone, it is better for you to use the Google Messages application at the present time, then Wait for Samsung to release its own version, and we will update this article and tell you when this is done.

: Google chat feature

First, you will need an Android phone with the Google Messages app installed and set it as the default app for text messages, and the first time you run the app, it will ask you if you want to set it as the default app or not, and you just have to follow the instructions to do that, and as a reminder Chat features are available worldwide, so it doesn't matter which carrier you use or which country you live in. As long as you have the messaging app installed and using it, you will have access to the chat.

After installing the Google Messages application and setting it as the default application for text messages, you then register for the trial version of the service because it is not available for official download on the Google Play Store, and then you will see a link to download the application again in case you download it previously, and after installation you run it then Click on Settings and then Chat features option and enable the feature to be activated

: Use the new chat features in the conversation

The "end-to-end" encryption feature is currently only available in individual chats that take place in the application, and it encrypts the entire content of the conversations, whether they are texts, files or media, and to make sure that the feature works, you send a new message to the contact that uses the same application, And after sending the message, you will find a lock symbol after the sending or delivery notification directly below the message, which means that the feature is supported and works in your phone without any problems

Note : For the new message encryption feature to work, the party you are chatting with must also install the app's beta version on their phone
