Google is preparing to abandon its Android Things operating system, which is a system that has remained isolated and has never actually come out to the ground, as this ambitious project began at the time five years ago, but in the end it did not see the light of day.

And as its name indicates, Android Things was mainly directed to the Internet of Things, especially various smart home devices. The project, as we indicated five years ago, was launched in 2015, under the name Brillo, before its name changed a year later, and the company was counting on it to be from The most successful operating system for Google is similar to Android, but Google eventually abandoned this project officially.

It is clear that the failure of the Android Things project is mainly due to the lack of interest of smart home device manufacturers, although Google has announced that it is refocusing Android Things to meet the needs of smart speakers and smart screens specifically.
